Who we are…
Since our creation in 1994, Quicksilver have been creating stunning effects for a wide range of productions. Working from our base in Manchester, we are ideally situated in the heart of the North West’s TV and Film industry.
We are able to provide a vast range of special effects, from large explosions to a steaming kettle. Saftey Regs – Legal requirements.
A lot of the work we do involves the use of pyrotechnics, explosives and other hazardous materials. Quicksilver are members of the CBI Explosive Industry Group and The Institute of Explosive Engineers. We hold all the necessary licences to acquire, store, transport and use pyrotechnics, explosives and other dangerous goods.
We also carry out training, consultancy and storage/disposal of pyrotechnics, fireworks & explosives for a number of UK Police forces and Fire Services, including giving input on international courses held at the National Fire Service College (Moreton in Marsh).
