You wouldn’t think it, but even the UK needs rain effects.
For the majority productions needing rain, our 2000 litre “Rain Trailer” is used to provide rain effects. Comprising of two linked 1000 litre bowsers, 8 bar petrol powered water pump and 6 x rain stands. When rain is needed on the outside of windows for scenes filmed inside, the use of electric pumps can reduce the noise levels.
For larger areas, higher volumes of water (and hence rain) can be delivered from a 10,000 ltr bowser, backed up with extra tanks where necessary.
We also have special magnetic mounted self-contained rain systems to provide rain onto vehicle windscreens from a water supply in the boot space, ideal for shots from within moving cars.
All our rain systems use a range of interchangeable rain heads, allowing us to deliver anything from a light shower to monsoon.
For wetdowns, we have towable bowsers with integrated petrol pumps and a built in spray rig on the back for speedy wetdowns along roads.
